Sneak Boat Hunting

The Maryland Waterfowl Regulations allow sneak boat hunting on the Monocacy, the Conococheague, and the non-tidal Potomac rivers. Sneak boat hunting is a terrific method for hunting waterfowl on the Monocacy.  This style of hunting consists of drifting or paddling and is best done in rivers with either a canoe or kayak.  Along the Monocacy, the most productive time to employ this tactic is in the winter once local ponds and lakes are frozen causing resident waterfowl to frequent the river more often.
